Walcott Treble Crushes Croatia
THEO Walcott scored three goals as England beat Croatia 4-1 in Zagreb.
The Arsenal forward gave England the lead midway through the first half with a right footed shot after some poor defending from Croatia.
The score was 1-0 at half time but after the break Walcott helped England double their lead after some good passing. The ball found it’s away from Heskey to Rooney and from the Manchester United player to Walcott on the right hand side who was left to put the ball in from a similar position as in the first half.
Wayne Rooney made it 3-0 on 63 minutes with a side foot from 12 yards and although Croatia pulled a goal back through Mandzukic on 78 minutes, Walcott grabbed the third of his hat trick eight minutes from the end when he slid the ball left footed past the goalkeeper from just inside the area.
